Questions and Answers
Why Students Come to the Counseling Center Each year approximately 12% of all Caltech students come to the Counseling Center for help. The reasons they seek help vary but students do come for help with the day to day issues they (and people in general) face like stress, procrastination, cultural adjustment and relationships. Additionally, some students come for help with concerns that involve depression, eating disorders, substance use/misuse, and anxiety among other reasons. The staff of the Counseling Center have been at Caltech long enough to know that helping doesn't just come in one form We know that people need different things and we try to provide what an individual actually needs. In the end, we're here to help, we're trained to help and we want to help. |
